The good news is that you can do something about your level of stress. I’ve worked with many people who’ve been told by their doctor that they need to relax. Unfortunately neither they nor their doctor have many tools to actually implement that advice.

That’s not a doctor’s area of expertise; it’s mine!

That’s why I’m offering a class this Sunday specifically about releasing stress in both your body and mind. I’ve partnered with Sheri McCloskey at The Yoga Studio in Bloomington, IL and am excited to be in her great space. Introducing:

Restorative Sound Meditation


How easily do you relax? Do you have trouble quieting your thoughts? Difficulty letting go of tension? Would you like to experience the deep state of serenity that comes when your mind calms and your body releases? Then this class is for you.

This is a meditation class like no other! It’s the easiest form you’ll find. If you can lie down you can do it. And if you can’t lie down I’ll have props to help you sit.

This is part meditation, part receptive listening, part stress release and part mind trip. Using rich, harmonic-producing instruments, including genuine Himalayan singing bowls, this class guides you into a state of profound relaxation. The sounds of the instruments help quiet your thoughts and clear your mind. The singing bowls evoke a peace unlike any other and listening to them live is a unique experience. As your mind clears your body becomes more restful and can work on healing itself, without the interference of over-tension.

The harmonics of the instruments have been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure and improve sleep. As you’re immersed in the safety and security of the sound you’ll be physically and emotionally free to let go of your stress, your tensions and whatever is keeping you from living your full self. It’s like a massage for your mind!
It’s an experience unlike any other and to get the benefits you actually have to experience it! All you need to bring is you! I’ll have mats for you to lie on, bolsters to offer extra support and blankets in case you get chilly.
